No, everyone is at the same stage. Some clubs just dont seem to be taking that into account and are doing it anyway.

This could be problematic as we have not had our Return To Play signed off yet.

Why don’t you just go and ask them? Rather than muttering between yourselves

RLS showed that there were no repercussions for not following the guidelines. If I was a worlds team I’d be following the SCE guidelines too, even if they haven’t been approved yet.

RLS, Unity, Crimson, OA and now RS have all been stunting.
Clearly some teams are not bothered about the government guidelines.

Were not stunting - but now it sounds like the whole reason none of us can is because UKCA has caused the delay in the RTP being agreed not because of any actual issue with the guidelines themselves? How long will we all have to wait for the politics to be sorted? Kinda understand now if coaches are fed up and just get back to it within the RTP guidelines as other contact sports have started up again with measures

Aren’t RS based near the areas with extra restrictions in Manchester? Seems really risky to be even considering stunting.

Wow everyone seems to be so uneducated in this forum. I think the teams that are stunting are following government guidlines what with this post and the crimson post, it just seems to me that people that don’t like it are at teams that are not stunting thats so obvious. Do you really think teams would be stunting if they had not done their homework? Some people need to read up on government guidlines, RS are in Stockport I think, not Manchester. Their rates look below the UK average at the minute I am also sure they wouldn’t put a post on social media if they thought they were going to get in trouble. Wake up people this virus isn’t going away we all just have to learn to live with it! If you can’t stay away from 1 metre wear a mask. Also they are following guidlines anyway contact sports are allowed now leave them all to it or move teams if you are not happy and concentrate on your own, instead of trying to bring others down!

I don’t really care if they can or they can’t but I am sure that teams wouldn’t be if they couldn’t everyone is going crazy over a few social media posts of 3/4 people stunting! So what, leave them to it! Bet all the same said people fretting have been pub, beach, eaten shed loads to eat out to help out, been mixing, have kids now back in packed out schools. This virus has caused too much drama and a few teams stunt and the cheer karens have gone crazy! You won’t be able to find if they can stunt because of this current row but I also sure these teams know what they are doing otherwise they wouldn't gave posted on social media would they??!!

@post10, you know the government guidance is still 2m, or 1m+ with a mask? You’re still not technically meant to touch anyone you don’t live with.

As we are uneducated then please educate us on it. I'm not saying we should not be allowed but at the moment that is the case, you say we should read the rules and its must be allowed so I'm just asking where to find this information, I'm sure every club in the country would love to see that we can stunt again. @post10 @post13

I am sure they do! I think everyone wants to stunt again its the major part of cheer and its been awful on the kids but you are missing my point. My point is why is everyone attacking teams because of a few social media posts? They must have covid safe things in place. At the end of the day we all want the same thing! They must be following something to not worry about posting on social media. My point is also leave them to it I don’t get why everyone is loosing their shit over a few posts and just being generally unkind and trying to bring other teams down 😢 it is frustrating, totally get that, but its up to them if they have things in place. It isn’t nice!!

Government guidelines for contact sports is no more than 15 minutes close contact per day. So yes they are allowed to stunt. But you guys continue to wait for the government to approve guidelines from our NGB who isn’t our NGB ... 👍🏻

@post19,

It absolutely is not in any government guidelines that contact can happen for 15 minutes. You're dreaming 😂

That's what I thought, going to make for a very interesting season, that's if we get to compete at all. Even by next year I cant see large venues being allowed to open. Kids possibly only having a few months if that to work on stunts that they haven't done for the beat part of a year.
Without the income from spectator tickets, merch, plus surely they cant expect the same payment for routines. How are EPs going to survive this?

So with new restrictions coming into place how are the courses such as BGU continuing to run?
Will demo athletes be stunting? The last course I went on the demo team stunted to show us grips etc.
Surely this any happen now as contact is not allowed?

Interested to know if it’s still worth booking coaches onto a course they won’t get full benefit from..

Are we better just doing online qualifications instead?
