We pay full, but part of our fees are for comp entry and that's getting saved for next year

Those who aren’t paying full fees can I ask if you have your program has there own gym ?

We’ve not been offered any reduction in fees because they still have the gym to pay for.

@post9 yes we have our own gym. They have been doing zoom classes and weekly challenges. There are a few athletes than crossover and obviously they aren't getting twice as much training as someone who was on just one team so I guess it's to make sure everyone is paying the same for what they are getting. Comp fees have been given the option to refund where the EP has refunded the gym or held over for next season.

Half fees are paid, we have zoom sessions for every session we would have and we have our own gym. We also have a social media hub that sets challenges for us to work on. Constant communication from coaches and they point us in the direction of online content that could better us as athletes, such as conditioning, mindfulness, being a better team mate, drills for skills.

Programmes with their own gyms with overheads to pay could apply for a grant from the local authority to cover the costs of 3 months.... which allows programms to offer no/reduced fees during this period as the overheads are covered by the grant.

i assume if you're paying full fees its becasue your programme either didnt apply for the grant or didnt fill it out correctly for it to be awarded.

@post9 is it even legal to charge full fees if you can’t offer the service?

Anyone prepared to say what gyms are giving reduced fees?

I don’t think cheer will ever be the same again!!
If it is it will be a few years from now.. Just concentrate on your school work .. the cheer world could disappear unfortunately in all this Covid crap x but your career and your future should always be your main priority especially in these awful times

@post64 USASF have said it will either be virtual or in person. Which sounds to me like they aren't sure of the position with Disney either. Disneyworld still haven't opened half of their hotels up. They have reduced capacity in all parks. I'm struggling to imagine Disneyworld is forcing USASF to run their event right now. Its in Disney's interest to let this year slide again and not encourage thousands of teenagers onto Disney property.

Don't forget the contract of sale for entry fees is been between the EP and the Team/Uni for x number of athletes, not between the EP and each individual named athlete.

When you paid your entry fee you paid it to the Uni so your contract of sale is between yourself and the Team/Uni. Therefore you will need to speak with the Team/Uni to recover your funds not the EP.
