I think if you got a bid last season as old level 5 you got a choice whether you wanted to take it as new level 5 or 6 this season

No iasf said you have to compete at worlds in the division you win the bid in. You can’t change your division once you have a bid. This is why lots of teams last year changed division mid season and had to change their routine so the could win a bid in the division they wanted to compete at this season.

Lol, IASF also told unity they could do what they wanted after Dave complained to them.
Basically it’s between the eps and the teams which division they enter. Just wish them all luck and get over it.

@post7, Dave didn't complain to IASF he just told them they brought in the rule after our season had started. ICC actually liaised with IASF and anyone whom one a bid at their comp in the level 5 division could change.

@post8, please,, it was a complaint..
ICC didn’t have a choice as they recieved an email copied in from IASF telling Dave at unity they could change. He also told other worlds coaches to contact IASF direct too to get their divisions changed.

I don't see what people have against this - it isn't just Unity benefiting. It is a fair point to say "our bid season had already started when the rules changed". Had every team known about the changes when forming their teams at the start of the season they may have gone for different levels.

Well that was obviously very decent of him then as it shows it wasn't just himself and his team that he was looking out for @post9,

I agree the training should be split between the north & south of the country. If it’s a national team but all the training is down south no wonder they don’t get that much support or involvement from northern teams.

My unis rec team performed sideline at uni and sometimes professional basketball games and had a routine for half time (sort of a level 1/2 pom and cheer mix to make sure everyone could be involved safely). Juts a bit of something for everyone really, it depends on your athletes

I know a few university teams who have competitive teams, and then for those not wanting to compete they'll do sideline/match day cheer, slightly more recreational and you can teach all elements, pom/stunt/tumble without the stress of competitive routines etc.

Just wondering for rec teams, what sort of things do you do? Do you work towards a performance? Do you do sideline cheer, etc?
