They wouldn’t shut it if they needed the capacity. @post4, many of the mass vaccination sites are under used at the moment and GP’s seem to be managing most of them.

@post4 shocked that this would go ahead. Yes I get it brings in a lot of revenue not just for BIC but for everywhere (hotels, shops, restaurants) but to close the largest vaccine site for it is shocking. I hope teams that are going know exactly what they are playing a part in as I certainly would not go knowing this.

Guys the BIC is literally just reopening as normal and inline with other leisure centres from 21st June. It was likely in their contract that this would be the case. It's nothing to do with cheer - if you look at their what's on page they have loads of different things happening from 21st June including a medical conference the week after cheer. The article is trash and you're believing it at face value.

The event can happen now just with spectator limits. So if June 21st is pushed back (likely) the event can still go ahead. June 21st going ahead as planned would have just meant they could have the same number of spectators as normal and no masks etc

With the amount of teams going I’d be surprised if many spectators would be allowed now as they would be reduced to 50% of capacity for each hall at one time.
So with athletes and coaches and staff etc it will be pretty much be full now

@post42.. the bic is limited by law to only 1000 max indoors so it doesn’t matter if they don’t have full teams. With the teams they do have the coaches and athletes alone will surpass that even with session

@post47 the younger athletes were allowed back at training alot earlier than the under 18's, therefore it was a more viable option for most clubs just to take younger teams.

Why invest so much time worrying about Shadow those kids work so hard all the time they push themselves to achieve what Shadow puts out there they are actually quite supportive to other teams and yet all I ever hear is hate and nastiness most of the keyboard warriors on here might want to remember they are actually children!
How about we just remember regardless of team names or gyms we all remember how hard EVERY ATHLETE EVERY COACH AND GYM work to put any routines out on the floor! As someone who was actually at FC yesterday I was disgusted at well known teams will kids to drop honestly I think people need to take a long hard look at themselves and if you are a parent or a coach or even an athlete do better!
@post59 this wasn’t aimed at you btw I know your comment wasn’t negative but there are so many comments on this forum in general on this team I felt I wanted to say something… I will wait for the keyboard warriors to attack me now 👍🏻

@post68, I actually think it’s a good idea. Not many sports give out medals/trophies for below 3rd place. Thinking of the environment I think is a good idea. Plus I know many gyms end up accumulating so many trophies.

Personal opinion as an outsider

- comments about whether people are disabled are not are dumb. Just because you can’t see things does absolutely not mean they aren’t there. Do you expect for disabled athletes to stick a note to their forehead saying “I have xyz” to appease all the people questioning their disabilities? That is so damaging so I hope people learn not to do that.
- should’ve been set up at ground routes but certain individuals just wanted to use it as a way to be in the limelight in the first place. Due to it not being ground routes comps don’t know how to mark routines etc as they’ve not got guidance.
- pretty sure athletes only got on because they demanded it, and disabled people did care about the safety in the team. I’ve not seen anyone say that before.

If paracheer had have been started at ground routes and not at worlds then there would be no problems with people and coaches wanting to be there for a quick win at worlds. Athletes would have to work on skills from the ground up and then when it went to worlds the team would have more disabled people.
It’s easy to see who set the whole thing up and that shows in all the way it worlds that it’s just been done to suite them- not for disabled people.
The reputation of that person is well known and its for a good reason.
