You only need the qualification at FC events. Any other ep you can enter what ever division you like.
Even at FC you can have a level 1 qualification and still enter level 2-7 teams and all dance teams.
Qualifications are only needed for insurance and warm up passes (certain eps)

@post6, really wow. Does anyone else think that sounds really bad from exsperince if a cheer coach just teaches and competes say lyrical without having a qualification that could cause injurys as they dont know what to do for diffrent steps like leaps and turns that are not in cheer and stuff reps should take it upon themselves to step up and make sure coaches know what they actually know what to do to protect athletes peps only out form money again

@post7, it happens a lot. Also the courses are so short they don’t have time to go through everything so even with the course there’s some people coaching who don’t know what they’re doing.

It takes at least 2 weeks to become a basic gym instructor, it takes 1 day to become a qualified cheer or cheer dance coach which is probably much more risky.

@post9, agree if my daughters coach just said they were starting a dance team with no qualifications I would pull her put so fast and find a new team. Would never put my daughter in danger like that

That's what I thought, going to make for a very interesting season, that's if we get to compete at all. Even by next year I cant see large venues being allowed to open. Kids possibly only having a few months if that to work on stunts that they haven't done for the beat part of a year.
Without the income from spectator tickets, merch, plus surely they cant expect the same payment for routines. How are EPs going to survive this?

@post39 Only non contact and socially distanced dancing is allowed until the distancing rules change. So no lifts etc.

So with new restrictions coming into place how are the courses such as BGU continuing to run?
Will demo athletes be stunting? The last course I went on the demo team stunted to show us grips etc.
Surely this any happen now as contact is not allowed?

Interested to know if it’s still worth booking coaches onto a course they won’t get full benefit from..

Are we better just doing online qualifications instead?
